Ferrari OfficeMaster Fax number in From: field

Symptoms

You have installed Exclaimer Mail Disclaimers and you are using OfficeMaster Fax software from Ferrari-Electronic. You start to receive error messages from Mail Disclaimers for every fax message received by Ferrari-Electronic OfficeMaster.

Cause

The default configuration of OfficeMaster creates a non-standard email message; specifically the sender email address is in the format <fax-number> instead of a standard email address.

Resolution

Making the following change will resolve this issue:

1. Open Messaging Server Configuration.
2. Select System\Component Table from the Quick launch tree.
3. On the right, select the Exchange connector.
4. Right-click and select "Properties".
5. Click Stop.
6. Under Parameters, add "-alwaysmimefrom".
7. Click Start.
8. Click OK.
