Conflict between AntiVir (Avira) and Mail Utilities

SYMPTOMS

Emails may be double disclaimed on servers using the AntiVir system.

RESOLUTION

In order to resolve this issue we need to move the sinks of AntiVir to occur before the Exclaimer ones.
  1. In the installation folder (c:\program files\exclaimer (default))
  2. locate and run SMTPEvent.hta
  3. there are 3 sinks loaded by Avira, please change them to 12000

      Enabled: true
      Prop: Priority 24575
    • Binding SMTP Transport OnSubmission {8E01E3AC-6E68-4895-BDD0-D5F67C25BF37}
      Name:GROUP AQ Guard OTS 3
      SinkClass:GrpAQGuard3.Grabber3
      Enabled: true
      Prop: Priority 24575
  4. perform and IISRESET to re-initialise the sink
