Problems experienced when installing Mail Utilities 2007 on a Windows 2008 server
Symptoms
You receive a registration error during installation.You may experience mail flow and\or transport service issues.
You may see errors regarding agent creation in the event log.
Resolution
Option 1 - Turn off UAC (User Access Control)
Uninstall Mail Utilities 2007 and then turn off UAC (User Access Control) via User Accounts from the Windows control panel. Restart the server and reinstall Mail Utilities 2007.Option 2 - Install via the command prompt and add the Network service to the required folders.
Right click on the command prompt icon and select "Run as administrator".
Once the command prompt appears, type the path and file name to the installation file. For example, if you have saved the installation file to c:\software you will need to enter the following path and file name and then press the return key:
C:\software\"Exclaimer Mail Utilities 2007".msi
Folders and locations:
Exclaimer Mail Utilities 2007 folder - by default this is located in C:\Program Files\Exclaimer Mail Utilities 2007
Exclaimer LogFiles folder - by default this is located in C:\ProgramData\Exclaimer Ltd\Mail Utilities\LogFiles
Exchange Replay folder - by default this is located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange\Transport Roles\Replay
