Adding a watermark to a disclaimer
SYMPTOMS
Outlook signatures allow the addition of a watermark or stationery type graphic to emails. How can the same effect be achieved using Exclaimer?RESOLUTION
HTML supports simple background images using the BACKGROUND attribute on the <BODY> tag. There is no UI way to modify this, so direct editing of the disclaimer HTML is necessary.- Copy your watermark or stationery image to the Exclaimer UserFiles folder
- Open your disclaimer in the Disclaimer editor
- Click on the Source tab
- Locate the <BODY> tag
- Insert the BACKGROUND tag making sure that the path to the image file is correct.
<BODY BACKGROUND="C:\Program Files\Exclaimer\UserFiles\watermark.gif"> - Press OK
- Press Save
- Send a test email
MORE INFORMATION
It is important that the file is placed in the UserFiles folder as this ensures that Exclaimer has permission to this when disclaiming your emails.APPLIES TO
